A large part of my work is to provide instruction – academic, technical, and practical. Audiences have included college students with a range of capabilities and needs to experienced professionals with advanced degrees. The work samples below provide a snapshot of documents and digital learning content I have created in the service of instruction.
Online Course: Onboarding New Faculty
A self-paced, micro-course used to onboard new part-time faculty members to Chemeketa Community College. Its goal is to communicate essential expectations, processes, and resources for newly hired part-time faculty. It leverages multimedia generated by the marketing department, respects the user’s cognitive load, incorporates creative commons images, and meets digital accessibility guidelines. It includes periodic knowledge and application checks to sustain engagement and identify gaps of understanding.
